A Russian attack on Sumy on the morning of 4 October destroyed the production site of the pharmaceutical company KUSUM. As a result of the strike, an employee of the enterprise, Yevhen Miroshnychenko, who had worked in the plant's engineering department since 2009, was killed.
The company confirmed the destruction of the plant, which produced essential medicines. KUSUM manufactures 146 brands of drugs, including Zolopent, L-Tset, Domrid, Abrol, Lospirin, and Metamin.
The enterprise is assessing the scale of the destruction and seeking ways to prevent disruptions in the supply of medicines. Despite the attack, the company continues to operate and has production facilities in India.
