Combat medic and activist killed in artillery strike on frontline

On 1 October, combat medic, marine and activist Ivanka “Haika” Kutsenko was killed in an artillery strike on the frontline. She was 33 years old.

Kutsenko was a co-founder of the NGO “Belkis”. Before the full-scale war, she was engaged in community work, including as the originator of the social initiative for homeless and low-income people “Hodivnychky” and co-organiser of “Prostir Rechei”.

Together with her colleagues, she prepared and published the samizdat publications “Inakshi — taki, yak my” and “AktyvistkA”.
