Sapper killed during demining in Dnipropetrovsk region
In Samarivskyi district, an unidentified explosive device detonated during demining. A 23-year-old sapper, Nikita Moroz, was killed, and two other pyrotechnicians sustained injuries of moderate severity.
In Samarivskyi district of Dnipropetrovsk region, an unidentified explosive device detonated during demining operations. As a result of the explosion, a sapper of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Dnipropetrovsk region, master sergeant of civil protection service Nikita Moroz, was killed.
Two other pyrotechnicians — senior sapper Viktor Makarenkov and driver-sapper Ihor Filippov — sustained injuries. Their condition is assessed as moderate severity.
The deceased was 23 years old. He joined the State Emergency Service three years ago and worked in a pyrotechnic team.
