In Synelnykove, the parents of the late 15-year-old Ruslan brought flowers to the destroyed post office, which was hit by Russian forces on September 28. The boy had gone to earn money as a loader unofficially; his parents did not know about it.
According to former employees, the branch manager hired minors without official documents and forced them to work during air raid alerts, promising "complete safety." There was no dedicated shelter on the premises.
