Kharkiv casualties rise to 43 after Russian strike on apartment block

In Kharkiv, the number of wounded in a Russian strike on an apartment building in the Saltivskyi district has risen to 43 people, including 11 children. This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office. Rescuers have completed search operations, with 32 people saved.

The attack partially destroyed the apartment building, damaged balconies and interior walls, and blew out windows in 46 buildings. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the munition destroyed the floor slabs between storeys.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov said access to the damaged building is restricted, and residents will be escorted to their apartments so they can collect essential belongings. Law enforcement officers are determining the type of weapon used.

During emergency rescue operations, State Emergency Service rescuers saved an elderly woman who could not move on her own due to her injuries. She was evacuated and handed over to medical personnel.
