Kryvyi Rih enters 'survival mode' after major plants halt

Ukraine's largest steelmaker ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is suspending operations due to Russian attacks. Over the past five weeks, the plant was hit by four missile strikes, killing five people and wounding 17 workers.

After the halt of ArcelorMittal and other major enterprises, Kryvyi Rih is switching to "survival mode." Head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council Oleksandr Vilkul said the city will cut its budget and pause part of its development projects.
