Fires continue in Kyiv and Kremenchuk after Russian attacks
In the early hours of October 7, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Fires broke out in four districts of the capital, with two people killed in the Darnytskyi district. In Kremenchuk, strikes were recorded on a residential area and an enterprise.

In Kyiv, fires broke out in four districts as a result of the overnight attack by Russian forces: Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, Darnytskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi. In the Darnytskyi district, the bodies of two deceased people were found, and two other people were rescued during firefighting operations. In the Podilskyi district, a fire and partial collapse of the ceiling of an office-warehouse building occurred.
In Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast, during a massive missile and drone attack, a strike was recorded on a residential area. Apartment buildings were damaged. Russian forces also struck one of the enterprises in the Kremenchuk district.
In Kyiv, strikes were recorded on non-residential buildings and warehouse facilities. In particular, in the Darnytskyi district, a garage cooperative was damaged, and in the Obolonskyi district, the territory of non-residential buildings was affected. As of 07:34, emergency response work is ongoing.
