Rescuers clear debris at NASU building after Russian strike

In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, rescuers have completed extinguishing the fire at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine building and continue clearing the debris. Using a three-section ladder, firefighters rescued two people from the third floor of the building.

The strike killed one person, and six others sustained injuries. According to preliminary data, three children are among the injured. Former NSDC Secretary Volodymyr Horbulin sustained minor injuries from glass shards; his assistant was killed.

Engineering equipment is working at the scene, and the search for people under the rubble continues. In total, 21 people were injured in Kyiv as a result of the attack, and a 44-year-old woman was killed.
