In Pryluky, Chernihiv region, rescue workers are clearing debris after a Russian missile strike hit a five-storey residential building. As of 08:26, two people are dead and seven are injured, according to the head of the Pryluky district police department, Vladyslav Stoianov.
According to the head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Viacheslav Chaus, one of the strikes hit the residential building directly in the morning while residents were still asleep. All emergency services are working at the scene, and people are being pulled from the rubble.
People may still be trapped under the debris. Rescuers continue search-and-recovery operations. Damage to municipal infrastructure has also been recorded.
