Turkish cargo ship with Ukrainian grain attacked in Black Sea
On Monday, 05 October, the Turkish cargo vessel Royad Mammadov carrying Ukrainian grain was attacked in the Black Sea. The ship sank; according to Romanian authorities, two crew members died and 11 were rescued. The captain was wounded, and a search-and-rescue operation was underway.

On Monday, 05 October, the Turkish cargo vessel Royad Mammadov carrying Ukrainian grain, which had earlier departed from the port of Izmail, was attacked in the Black Sea. A fire broke out on board as a result of the strike, the captain was wounded, 13 crew members were reported missing, and a search-and-rescue mission was organised.
The incident occurred in the Black Sea area 20 nautical miles from the coast, near the territorial waters of Romania, close to the Pescăruș platform operated by Petrom.
According to Romanian authorities, the ship sank as a result of a drone attack. It was reported that two crew members died and 11 were rescued.
