Russian forces attack Ukraine with over 100 strike drones

On September 28, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 124 strike drones, 86 of which were jet-powered. The main direction of the strike was Kyiv Oblast. Air defence forces shot down or suppressed 86 drones, including 49 jet-powered ones.

Impacts were recorded at 27 locations. In Kyiv, the National Academy of Sciences building and the Dobrobut medical centre came under attack. In total, 24 people were injured in the city during the day, and the attack continued.

As of 18:30, several drones remained in the air. Falling debris from downed drones was also recorded at 4 locations.
